Devlog #4 - Supply drops, grenadiers and so on
Hello, commanders! It has been another week or so of development. I've managed to keep the velocity up to a level that I'm very happy with regardless of my day job sucking the life out of me. Feels like that the future open playtest is getting closer. It's not a distant dream anymore, but every week it's coming tangibly closer. I'm not promising any dates yet, but stay tuned! I don't want to keep you waiting for any longer than necessary.
Here's a few things I've been working on this week:
Grenadier - the former "Special Operator" has a new ability. When the enemy gets too close for comfort, they'll throw a grenade that can help flushing enemies out of cover. Be minded though, enemy Grenadiers can be as devastating to your defenses too!
Smoke Barrage - Sometimes you need to block the line of sight between you and the enemy. In those cases, Smoke Barrage is your friend. Not only that, but it might help funneling enemy in to your prepared lines of fire, because Units don't feel good about running through that smoke. Use the Smoke Barrage to your advantage when you need to make maneuvers in cover and concealment.
