Devlog #3 - Trailer work and feature work


This week - in addition being back to my actual work, I've taken a jump into a territory I'm not terribly familiar with. I have become a marketing artist of my own game. I've been working on some prerendered materials for a trailer that will launch later with the open playtest of the game, once we get there. I just ordered some original music for the trailer, and I gotta admit that I'm excited, while a bit concerned of what the future will bring.

In addition to that I have been able to work on the game proper as well.  Some polish features requested by the playtesters have been implemented such as having small "speech bubbles" appear on top of your units as they engage enemies, get panicked, spot retreating enemies and so on and so forth. I have also began working on a couple of new classes of units for different ranges. Sniper (already functional in game) is gonna be your slow shooting, long range, high threat eliminator. Grenadier (previously known as Special Operator) on the contrary, will take care of any enemies who get too close to comfort, by tossing grenades at their enemies as they close in. Grenadier is still work in progress, but I hope to get to show it to you soon!

After that I hope to get to work on some new forms of Support Calls for the player. Smoke artillery, supply drops, air strikes etc. Exciting stuff!

Best of luck! I have few suggestions

1. An option to control the soldiers ( Highly recommended =) )

2. Zombie mode (Maybe? Lol)
